Customer Settings

Estimated reading: 2 minutes

Configure bidirectional customer synchronization and Odoo CRM lead creation. The page has two tabs: Customer and CRM Lead.

Customer Tab

Customer Sync Direction

  • Odoo → Shopify (default)
  • Shopify → Odoo

Customer Sync Option (Odoo → Shopify)

  • Create new and update existing customers
  • Only update existing customers (default — prevents duplicates)

Enable Customer Sync

Toggle to enable syncing in the chosen direction. Use the Import Customers (Odoo → Shopify) or Export Customers (Shopify → Odoo) button for a manual run. The confirmation offers the All / Date range scope choice (new) so you can limit the run to customers updated within a chosen window.

Customers are automatically synced when an order is created, even if this toggle is off.

Customer Tag Filtering

  • Odoo → Shopify: Sync Customer Tags — choose Odoo customer tags (none = all).
  • Shopify → Odoo: Sync Shopify Customer Tags (new) — choose Shopify customer tags (none = all).

Use Refresh to reload tags; when filtering is enabled you must select at least one tag.

CRM Lead Tab (new — Shopify → Odoo only)

Push Shopify activity into Odoo CRM as leads. (Requires the CRM module in Odoo; toggles auto-disable if it isn’t found.)

  • Sync Abandoned Checkouts to Odoo CRM Lead — runs hourly; only checkouts from the past 24 hours are synced. Manual: Create Abn Checkout.
  • Sync Shopify Draft Orders to Odoo CRM Lead — runs hourly; only draft orders from the past 24 hours. Manual: Sync Draft Orders.
  • Sync Shopify Orders to Odoo CRM Lead — orders become CRM Leads instead of Sale Orders (requires Order Sync enabled in Order Settings).

Manual buttons require the relevant toggle to be enabled and saved first.
